Why do YOU write?

I write to feel the heat of a tropical island I’ve never visited, to hear the sounds of the waves crashing up against the cliff I’ve never lived upon, to see the last snow leopard in it’s cave, to taste the spices mixed throughout a dish I’ve never made before.

I write to know things that have never been known, and explore a world others have explored, just in my own way. I write, as Terry Tempest Williams put it, “to the one I love”, which is you.
